Anna Förstel-Cherng is the Deputy Secretary General of the Vienna International Arbitral Centre (VIAC). Before joining the VIAC Secretariat in 2022, she worked in leading law firms in Vienna, specialising in international arbitration, international civil proceedings, and contract law. She is a Past Co-Chair and current member of the Advisory Board of the Young Austrian Arbitration Practitioners (YAAP), and she previously served as Head of Secretariat of the Austrian Arbitration Association. She is admitted to both the Austrian and the New York State Bar. She holds a law degree from the University of Vienna and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School.
