Michelangelo Cicogna has significant expertise in the field of ADR and has acted both as counsel and arbitrator in more than 150 cases, administered and ad hoc procedures according, among the others, to the rules of ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL, LCIA, MKAS, CAM, Madrid, AIA, DIS, SCC, Bucharest, Swiss Chambers and the PCA in the Hague, dealing with complex litigation, including multiparty and parallel arbitrations, across a wide range of sectors. Author of numerous publications on arbitration and mediation, he teaches Advocacy in International Arbitration at Luigi Bocconi University and holds seminars and conferences on ADR and international arbitration. He is a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration, Officer of the IBA International Arbitration Committee, past president of the AIJA International Arbitration Commission and Vice-Chair of the Arbitration Committee of ABA SIL. He is co-founder and currently a Co-Chair of ArbIt (the Italian Forum for Arbitration and ADR). He is ranked in the major professional rankings (Chambers, Legal 500, Who’s Who Legal, Leaders League).
