Lucía Montes is a Partner at Cuatrecasas in Madrid. She specializes in international commercial arbitration, particularly in the construction, infrastructure and energy sectors. She has represented clients in over 50 arbitration cases involving large international projects, mainly in Latin America and the Middle East. She also regularly advises on court proceedings related to arbitration, both in her jurisdiction as well as coordinating crossborder actions and actions involving many jurisdictions. She regularly acts as arbitrator in international arbitration proceedings. Lucía is a member of the Plenary of the Madrid Arbitration Court, as well as a member of the Spanish and Iberoamerican Arbitration Club’s Scientific Committee, and a member of the Advisory Committee to the Madrid Bar Association’s Construction and Engineering Law Section. She lectures on arbitration in the Master for Admission to the Practice of Law at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
