Benedetta Mauro is a Junior Associate at D|R Arbitration & Litigation’s Rome office. Her fields of interest are private comparative law, private international law and international arbitration. She was awarded the third position in the UNIDROIT Covid-19 Essay Competition and has co-authored with Giacomo Rojas Elgueta the Italy National Report for the “Does a Right to a Physical Hearing in International Arbitration Exist?” ICCA Project. Benedetta obtained her law degree summa cum laude from LUISS Guido Carli in July 2019, after participating in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition and spending a semester at the Universidad de Belgrano in Buenos Aires. She received a special mention for her final thesis on “The Recovery of Cultural Property in International Law: Collaborative Settlement of Disputes”. Her working languages are Italian, English and Spanish.
