James Hosking has 30 years of international dispute resolution experience. Prior to co-founding and leading the international arbitration team at New York disputes boutique Chaffetz Lindsey, he was a Partner at Clifford Chance and practiced in his native New Zealand. He has appeared as counsel in more than 150 arbitrations and sat as an arbitrator in around 60 cases. He regularly speaks and publishes on international arbitration, including being co-author of “A Guide to the ICDR International Arbitration Rules” (OUP). He is involved with leadership roles in several arbitral institutions, including as Vice-Chair of the Court of the Saudi Centre for Commercial Arbitration, as a member of the Governing Board of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration, and as a Co-Chair of the ICC’s Arbitrator Academy (North America).  He was previously an Adjunct Professor at NYU School of Law, the University of Pennsylvania School of Law and the University of Auckland.
